Billing

Manage your FYTT subscription, payment methods, and invoices

Written by Todd Miller

Your FYTT subscription is what your organization pays FYTT for the software. It's separate from money your athletes pay you, which runs through Payments. This article covers where billing lives, trials and plans, cancelling, renewal dates, your card, and what happens when a trial ends or a payment fails.

Organization Settings with the Billing tab

Where to find billing

Click Organization Settings (1) at the bottom of the left sidebar, then the Billing tab (2). Only managers see Organization Settings, so only managers can subscribe, change the card, or cancel. If you're a coach and need something changed, ask a manager in your organization.

Trials and plans

Trial period

A new account starts with a 14-day trial with every feature switched on and no card required. If you sign up by buying a plan straight from the FYTT pricing page, you go directly to checkout instead and there's no trial. See Getting started for setting up your organization during the trial.

Subscribing

Until you subscribe, the Billing tab shows what your staff gets and a Buy Now button. Buy Now opens the FYTT pricing page in a new tab, where you pick a plan, billed monthly or yearly, and pay through Stripe's secure checkout. If you subscribe partway through your trial, the days left carry over and your first charge comes when the trial would have ended.

Tiers and upgrading

FYTT is sold in tiers, and each tier includes its own set of features. While you're on a trial you can use everything; once you subscribe, a feature your tier doesn't include shows a panel with Upgrade to Access, which emails FYTT support, and View Plans, which opens the pricing page. To move to a different tier, contact support rather than buying a second plan, since there's no in-app switch between tiers.

Your plan and renewal date

Once you've subscribed, the Billing tab shows your Current plan, the Current period, the date it Renews on, and the Payment method on file (card brand and last four digits).

Click Manage Plan to open the Subscription panel. It shows the subscription's Status, plus the Current period start and Current period end. Your plan renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly or yearly depending on the plan you bought.

Cancelling

  1. On the Billing tab, click Manage Plan.

  2. Click Cancel subscription at the bottom of the panel.

  3. Confirm with Cancel subscription, or click Keep subscription to back out.

Cancelling takes effect immediately

The subscription ends the moment you confirm, not at the end of the billing period. Your data stays intact until the organization is deleted, but everyone loses access to all information and functionality until you subscribe again.

Cancelling a trial: if you haven't subscribed yet, there's nothing to cancel. No card is on file, so the trial simply ends. If you subscribed during the trial, cancel from Manage Plan as above.

Pausing between clients: FYTT has no pause option. You can cancel and later subscribe again from Billing › Buy Now. Your athletes, programs, and data are still there when you come back.

Updating your payment method

  1. On the Billing tab, click Update Payment Method.

  2. Enter the new card in the Card field of the Payment method panel.

  3. Click Save. It stays greyed out until the card details are complete.

The new card is charged from the next invoice. If your account is past due, saving also pays the overdue invoice with the new card straight away. If the charge fails, you'll see "The card could not be charged. Try another card."

Invoices

FYTT doesn't list invoices or receipts in the app. The Billing tab shows only your plan, its dates, and your card. For copies of past invoices, email [email protected].

When access is blocked

  • Trial expired: when the trial ends without a subscription, managers, coaches, and trainers see an Upgrade for full access window saying the trial has expired, with a View plans button that opens the pricing page. Managers can still open the Billing tab to subscribe.

  • Subscription past due: if a renewal payment fails three times, the account is marked past due, and a Subscription past due window blocks the app for everyone, not just managers. A manager clicks Update payment method, enters a working card, and saves. Once the overdue invoice is paid, access comes back.

Reseller accounts

If your organization is set up as a FYTT reseller, Organization Settings has an extra Reseller tab. Reselling is an invite-only program run with FYTT. Contact support if you're interested.
