Flex credits measure the work Flex finishes for your organization. Your plan includes an allowance of credits, and on every plan Flex pauses new work when they run out until they renew or a manager buys more. This article covers what your plan includes, what each request costs, where to see your usage, what happens when credits run low or run out, and how to buy a credit pack.
Credits included with your plan
Every plan includes credits for the whole organization, shared by all of its coaches:
Solo: 75 credits a month.
Team: 125 credits a month.
Perform: 200 credits a month.
Enterprise: 5,000 credits a year.
Trial: 75 credits a month, the same as Solo.
Solo, Team and Perform credits renew every month on your plan's billing day, even if you pay yearly; during a trial they renew at the start of each calendar month. Enterprise credits renew each year on your plan's renewal date, or on January 1 if your plan is billed more often than yearly. Unused credits don't roll over. If FYTT has set a different allowance for your organization, for example in an Enterprise agreement, the Flex tab shows that figure instead.
What each request costs
Credits count the work Flex finishes, not how long it takes. Each message you send is charged once, at the size of the biggest thing it finished:
Ask, 1 credit: answers, how-to and analysis, such as "Who hasn't logged this week?" or "Chart our squat progress since August."
Edit, 3 credits: changes to training, rosters and your library, such as "Swap Tuesday's lifts for the travel squad."
Build, 5 credits: new programs, plans, imports, reports and automations, such as "Build an eight-week off-season program for our linemen."
You're only charged for finished work. These are free:
clarifying questions Flex asks you;
work that fails or doesn't finish;
work you stop before any of it finishes;
requests Flex declines because it can't do them yet, even though it explains how to do them yourself.
Free work still shows in your activity, marked Free with the reason. Flex starts a request as long as your organization has at least 1 credit left, and finished work never takes your balance below zero.
Seeing your usage
Managers open Organization Settings and click the Flex tab. Coaches and trainers on your teams can open the same page: press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and pick Flex under Organization settings. Everyone except a manager sees it read-only, with the names of the managers who can make changes.
The Overview shows the credits Available now and the credits Used this cycle, split into what's left of the Included allowance, credits left from Packs, and what's been Used. Below that, Who used it and Where it went break the cycle down by coach and by team, and View activity lists every request with its size and cost. How credits work opens a summary of the costs above, with your plan and allowance.
When credits run low
Once a fifth or less of your credits are left, a strip above the message box in the Flex panel shows how many are left and the day included credits renew. Beside it, a manager who can buy sees Buy credits; anyone else is told which manager to ask to add credits.
The Flex tab also warns once 80% of the allowance is used, and a manager who can buy gets Buy extra credits in the warning. An organization with no plan is told how many credits are left instead, and its manager gets Choose a plan.
When you run out
When nothing is left, the Flex panel shows You’re out of Flex credits in place of the message box, with the day included credits come back. A manager who can buy gets Buy credits there, and someone who isn't a manager is told which manager to ask. A request sent at that moment isn't run: Flex replies that it didn't run it and says when credits renew, with the same way forward under the reply. Managers also get an email, "Your organization is out of Flex credits", once per cycle.
The message box comes back on its own, without reloading the page, as soon as credits do: on the renewal day, or once a pack lands.
Buying a credit pack
Only organization managers can buy credits. A coach or trainer who needs more asks a manager; Flex and the Flex tab say whom to ask. A pack is 100 credits for $40, and you can buy 100, 200, 300 or 500 credits at once. If your organization can't buy right now, Add credits is greyed out; hover over it to see why.
Click Buy credits in the Flex panel, or Add credits at the top of the Flex tab.
Under How many credits, choose an amount.
If your plan's card is on file, choose under Pay with between that card and Add a new card.
With the card on file, click Continue, check the Confirm purchase summary, and click Pay with the total, such as Pay $40. Otherwise click Continue to payment and pay on Stripe's secure checkout.
The credits are usually ready within a minute of the payment going through, and the page and the Flex panel update on their own. If the card on file is declined, nothing is charged and you can try again with Pay with a new card.
Pack credits never expire. Flex spends each cycle's included credits first and pack credits only once those run out, so a pack carries over from one cycle to the next until it's used.
Packs need an active plan paid by card Credits can be bought once your plan is active, after any trial. If your plan is paid by invoice, switch it to card payment under Billing or contact support, and if it has an unpaid invoice, settle that first.
Trials: choose a plan first
A trial can't buy packs. When a trial runs out, the Flex panel says your organization has no available Flex credits, and a manager gets Choose a plan, which opens the plan picker (see Billing); anyone else is told which manager to ask. The Flex tab shows No Flex credits available with the same button.
Once you subscribe, your new plan's full allowance starts straight away, and any trial credits left are dropped. Once the plan is active, you can buy packs on top of it.
Perform and Enterprise
Perform and Enterprise pause at their allowance like every plan, and a manager can buy packs to keep going. Enterprise's allowance is a yearly pool, so when it runs out Flex pauses until your renewal date. Enterprise plans are often paid by invoice, and packs are paid by card, so if your plan is invoiced, contact support to add credits.
