When training has to exist on paper, for athletes who train without the app, a coach running a session off a clipboard, or a copy for your records, FYTT exports it as a PDF or a spreadsheet. This article covers every export: workouts, week schedules, programs, the whiteboard, reports, and metrics, what each file holds, and how to fix a printout that's cut off or too small.
Which export to use
Cards for today's session: the workout's Export menu on the calendar.
Each athlete's week, individualized: PDF at the top of the calendar.
A program as written: Download on the program.
Results and data: Export on a report, the attendance page, or the metrics page. These are spreadsheets, not PDFs.
Every export is built in the background. A progress dialog shows while FYTT builds the file (large workouts and programs can take a minute or more), then Export ready opens: click Download file to save it, or Done to close.
Exporting a scheduled workout
Click a workout on the calendar to open its panel, then click Export at the top of the panel:
Coach cards (1): a landscape PDF with a page per coach assigned to the group, or one page when none is. Each page is a table with a column per attending athlete, a row per block, and a row for current injuries. When the workout has a facility, the athletes are split into stations.
Athlete cards (2): a card per athlete, individualized. Each card has the athlete's name, the current values of the metrics the workout's sets use (a 1RM, for example), and every block with their own prescription, weights worked out from their numbers. You pick the athletes first; see below.
Workout card (3): a portrait PDF of the workout as written: time, name, notes, and every block with its sets. For a group workout, a second page lists the athletes by coach, with (OUT) after anyone whose status is out.
Whiteboard (4): an Excel (.xlsx) spreadsheet with a sheet per block and a row per athlete's prescription, plus a sheet for each athlete with adjustments. The whiteboard page builds the same file; see below.
Coach cards, the workout card, and the whiteboard start building as soon as you click. Athlete cards open a panel first.
Choosing athletes for athlete cards
Athlete cards replaces the workout panel with Export athlete cards, listing the athletes on the workout. Search by name, narrow the list with the group chips, or tick Select all. The footer counts what you've picked, and Export stays off until at least one athlete is selected. Under Print settings, set the Orientation and Font size, then click Export. The back arrow (Back) returns to the workout panel.
Printing each athlete's week
Click PDF at the top of the calendar to open Export week schedule for the week on screen, Sunday to Saturday. It lists everyone on the team's roster.
Pick athletes: search, filter by group (1), or tick Select all.
Under Print settings, choose the Orientation (2), Font size (3), and Max columns (4), and tick Include a notes column (5) if you want room to write.
Click Export. The button names the count, such as Export 2 schedules.
Each athlete gets their own page: their name, the current values of the metrics their week uses, and a column per training day with each workout's time, notes, and blocks, individualized like athlete cards. Include a notes column adds a Notes: space with blank lines under every workout. Athletes with no workouts that week are left out of the file.
The PDF button isn't shown on a tablet.
Exporting a program
Click Download at the top of a program:
PDF (1) opens Export PDF for the whole program: a cover page with your logo, the program's name and description, then each week on a landscape page with a column per day. A day too long for one page continues on the next, marked (Page 2).
Spreadsheet (2) builds an Excel (.xlsx) workbook with a sheet per week, a column per day, and each day's blocks and sets down the rows, ready to edit or share.
To print one week, hover over the week's heading and click Download week. Export PDF opens for that week, where you tick the Workout types to include: Primary, Accessory, and Warmup (a block's type is set in the block editor). Nothing is ticked the first time, so tick at least one. Leave out warm-ups, for example, to save paper. FYTT remembers your choice for next time. The whole-program PDF prints every block type whatever you tick.
A program PDF isn't individualized
It prints the program as written, without any athlete's weights or adjustments. For an athlete's own numbers, use athlete cards or the week schedule from the calendar.
Whiteboard spreadsheet
On a workout's whiteboard, Download PDF builds the same spreadsheet as Whiteboard in the workout panel. Despite the label, the file is an Excel (.xlsx) workbook, not a PDF. It isn't shown on a tablet.
Printing a workout template
In the library, open a workout and click Export at the top of the editor. You get a portrait PDF of the workout as written: its name and every block with its sets. See Workouts.
Exporting reports, attendance, and metrics
Data exports are spreadsheets. To print one, open the file in Excel or Google Sheets and print from there.
Group report: Export builds an Excel (.xlsx) workbook with a row per athlete and a column per report column, with graphs as charts.
Athlete report: Export to spreadsheet (the download icon on the report, or on an athlete's profile) opens Export athlete reports. The athlete you were viewing is ticked; tick more and click Export for an Excel workbook with a sheet per athlete.
Training report: Export builds a CSV of the athlete's logged sets in the date range, the prescription (Rx columns) next to what was done.
Attendance report: Export builds a CSV with Date, Name, and Status for the date range, covering the groups you've filtered the table to.
Roll call: Export on a workout's attendance page builds a CSV of that session's Athlete, Status, and Date. It isn't shown on a tablet.
Metrics: Export on the metrics page opens Export metrics. Pick the Organization, any Groups (leave it empty for all), the Dates, and the metrics, then click Export. The Excel file has a row per athlete per date and a column per metric.
See Reports, Attendance, and Metrics for the pages these come from.
Fixing a PDF that's cut off or too small
Athlete cards and the week schedule have Print settings; the other PDFs have a fixed layout.
Text too small: raise Font size with the plus button. It runs from 4 to 14 and starts at 6.
Days squeezed or cut off on the week schedule: lower Max columns. It sets how many days share a page (7 by default); the rest move to another page, so each day gets more width.
Page shape: the week schedule starts in Landscape, athlete cards in Portrait. Switch when a long workout runs off the bottom or a wide one runs off the side.
FYTT saves these settings on the team, so the next export, by you or another coach on the team, opens with the same choices. Athlete cards and the week schedule keep separate settings.
Printing one athlete's training
One session: open the workout, choose Export > Athlete cards, and tick only that athlete. For a workout scheduled to the athlete alone, the card covers just them.
A week at a time: click PDF on the calendar, go to the week, and tick only that athlete. Repeat for each week you need.
The whole program: Download > PDF on the program prints it as written, not with the athlete's weights.
